The short version
This website sets no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, so it has no consent banner. The app uses no cookies either; it uses the analytics and ad measurement tools described below, and asks your permission before Meta can use your advertising identifier.
This website
Our website is a set of mostly static pages. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and embeds no social media trackers or third party pixels.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard server request data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL, in order to serve pages and protect against attack, and our logging provider, Better Stack, keeps those records for up to 30 days so we can find faults. That is infrastructure logging, not a cookie, and it is never used to track you.
We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Since we do not track anyone, honouring them changes nothing about how you are treated, which is rather the point.
What the app stores on your device
A mobile app does not use cookies, but it does store data locally. For completeness, here is everything the Inovo eSIM app keeps on your device.
| What | Why | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in token | Keeps you signed in between launches | Only to authenticate you with our API |
| Language preference | Remembers the language you chose | No |
| Onboarding state | Stops us showing the intro screens again | No |
| Cached plan and eSIM data | Lets the app show your eSIMs quickly and while offline | No |
| Push token | Identifies your device so notifications reach it | Yes, to our API and to Expo |
| Analytics install identifier | A random id that lets Amplitude and Google Analytics count app usage | Yes, to Amplitude and Google |
| Meta SDK identifiers | Measures which of our ads brought you to the app | Yes, to Meta. Your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking |
On iPhone the app asks once, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether Meta may use your advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure our ads. If you decline, it never reads it, and you can change your answer in Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking. On Android, turning off ad personalisation in your device settings has the same effect. The app requests no location permission.
Deleting the app removes everything stored locally. Deleting your account, from Settings in the app, additionally removes your push tokens and sign in identity from our systems, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Third parties
Signing in with Google or Apple, and paying with Stripe, involves those companies briefly, and each may set its own cookies or store its own identifiers under its own privacy policy while it does so. We do not control that, and we receive none of it.
The Privacy Policy lists every provider we use and exactly what each one receives. Read the Privacy Policy.
